Where Has the Summer Gone?!

Wow, it's been awhile since I've blogged. It's now only a week and a half until I go back to work. It's kind of a bitter sweet feeling. I'm excited to have a new class and to try out new things, but I'm also very sad to be leaving Bentley and losing my freedom.
Even though summer has gone extremely fast, we've had lots of fun. Bentley and I have gone to the pool a few times, we've had Barbecues and game nights with friends, stayed up late about every night watching movies.
On June 30th, Bentley turned 4. I can't believe my little boy is 4!! He is growing up way to fast. He is still into Batman and Indiana Jones. He dresses up like them all of the time and truly thinks he's them. This is definitely a fun stage.
On the 24th of July, I ran in the Speedy Spaniard and Bentley ran his first race. He ran the 1 mile kids run and loved it. He's always talking about me racing/running, so we decided we'd enter him into a race. His race started right after I crossed the finish line of the Speedy Spaniard. Brian ran the race with him and said he did great.
We also went on a weekend trip to Park City with our friends. While the boys went mountain biking at Deer Valley resort, I enjoyed a day of shopping. I totally enjoyed every minute of it. The rest of the trip was, well, we'll say it was interesting, but very fun.
The last few days I've been trying to get my classroom together. I honestly can not believe the summer is almost over. I absolutely love the freedom that the summer brings and I am definitely going to miss it.
This fall Bentley will be going to the preschool at my school. I'm excited that he'll be right down the hall from me (2 days a week). I'll be able to see him at recess.
I'm going to enjoy this last week and a half. Brian and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary next week. WOW, what a way to end the summer.

Seriously, I'm with you. It seems like it is just barely starting to feel like summer, with all that rain we had for a while, and now it's over. Not that I get the summer off from work, but the weather is awesome, and I HATE snow! (At least driving in it. Snow is great in the mountains).

I feel your pain! I am sad that summer is over too. Your little family is very cute and it sounds like you have done some fun things. Happy anniversary! I'll see you in a few days...happy to see you, but not as happy to be back. :)
