Twilight

Brian and I went to see Twilight up at the Jordan Commons theater. At first I didn't like it, but about half way through I really started to like it. Brian hasn't read the books, but I would tell him about it while I was reading them, and he said it was one of the better chick flicks he had seen. Carlise and Edward were just not quite handsome enough, but all in all I enjoyed the show. I want to go back and see it again. If you haven't read the books, you must read them first. They are amazing. Twilight is my favorite book series I have ever read. Read it before you see the movie.

Ed. Note(Brian): This actually was a really good chick flick, It surprised me. I would recommend this to any female out there, even girly males like Kyle (my brother). If I had my choice between this and staying home, I would probably stay home. But, if the choice was between this and Jon and Kate plus 8, I would choose this.

Going Private

So I'm thinking about going private. Blogs are fun, but I also think they can be scary. Hello, our families names are on here, where we live, anything for the world to see. If you would like to be invited to view my page, leave a comment to this post. I know I'm not all that exciting, but if you would like to be able to view my page leave a comment.

Body Worlds

Last Saturday Brian, Vicki (Brian's Mom), and I went up to Salt Lake to Body Worlds. If you don't know what that is, it's an exhibit of real human bodies that have gone throught the process of plastination. It was absolutely amazing. Some of the exhibits that I really enjoyed were seeing the babies. They had babies from 3 weeks after conception up until 36 weeks. It was amazing to see the growth that happens in just a short amount of time. At 8 weeks along the baby doesn't have fingers and at 9 weeks it does. Another interesting one was seeing a healthy set of lungs next to a smokers lungs. I didn't understand for sure what emphysema was until I went to the exhibit. The lungs with emphysema literally had holes all over in them. All of the the stuff on the heart was amazing also. Did you know it takes ten human hairs to make a capillary? If you haven't been to the exhibit, I highly suggest going. After going, if you didn't believe that there was a Heavenly Father, you will. There is no way that the body could work and function so perfectly without a greater being. It's in Salt Lake until January 11th. It's definitely worth the money. If you're interested the website is http://theleonardo.org/bodyworlds/the-exhibit/

FALL

So I've never been good at writing a journal, obviously I'm not to good at keeping up on a blog either. Well I titled this blog fall because I'm going to write about all the things we did this fall. I absolutely love fall. The crisp cool air, the change leaves, back to school, I love it!!

This is Bentley at the Red Barn Pumpkin Patch in Santaquin.
Bentley found a little pumpkin, Brian found the perfect craving pumpkin, tall and oval. I found the perfect fairy tale pumpkin, like the one from Cinderella, short and oval.

How To Host A Murder Party

One of my favorite things we do in October is our How to Host a Murder Party. I look forward to it every year. This year was our fourth annual party. For the last four years we have had the same people over every year. The first year I think everyone thought we were crazy, inviting them over and making them dress up for dinner, now everyone comes all dressed up. It's exciting to see what people will dress up like. This year's party took place in the 1930's. Clint was the murderer this year.

Brian and I all dressed up (yes it's a wig)

Gardner Village
Another thing that I love to do every year is go to Gardner Village. They have the cutest witches. We went up with my family and had a blast seeing all the witches. I must say however, it's not Brian's favorite thing to do, but he was a good sport. (I'll add pictures later.)

SICK! SICK! SICK!

It all started on Wednesday morning at about 12:30 am!! I went in to check on Bentley and he was asleep, but had thrown up everywhere. So I woke him up, got him in the bathtub, threw the sheets in the washer, and put him in my bedroom on the floor. I was up all night long with him throwing up. At 3:30 I got online to try to get a sub for Wednesday. At 6:30am I checked and luckily I had a sub. So I headed to the school and started writing sub plans and getting everything ready for that.
On Friday morning at 3:30 am I woke up to the sound of Brian throwing up. I couldn't sleep after that because he kept throwing up. Finally, at 5:30am I went downstairs and slept on the couch.
Well, I guess it was my turn because last night I started throwing up. UGH! I've slept most of the day and I'm feeling better now. I've got my house cleaned and my grades typed into the computer. Now I've just got to plan for this week. YEAH!
I hope we didn't get anyone else sick. It's no fun!

First Blog-5k

Okay, after many months of hesitation to start a blog, I've decided to go ahead and start one. The reason I've been so hesitant is because who will read it anyway? I'm not sure. Brian saw a shirt the other day that said "More people have read this shirt than have read your blog." There was a picture of a counter at the bottom and it said 002. I thought it was quite hilarious. On Saturday, I did something that I thought was worth blogging about. I ran my first 5k. I know it's only 3.1 miles, but it's a start. It was at the Shutzenfest in Midway. When I signed up, it said it was partly road and partly trail. Little did I know that the trail would be up a mountain. YIKES! When we pulled in the parking lot, I saw all the runners and almost threw up. I thought that 5ks would have moms who were going to walk the race. Not here, they were all "actual" runners. Needless to say, even with my nausea, Brian would not let be back out. I must say though it was beautiful. Most of the race was in the trees and they were all changing colors. Halfway through it started to rain which actually felt quite nice. In the end, I took 4th place for my age group 20-24 in women. HOORAH I did it and I actually a came in 4th. Who knew!
I'm looking quite gross in this picture, I just finished running. See the mountain behind me, that's where the race was. Beautiful!!
